Trails Camp Programs
If you’re considering backpacking with Christikon this year, you are in the right spot. You’ll not only journey into some of the world’s loveliest country for a whole week, you’ll journey with others—more deeply into the adventure of faith.
Backpacking takes more energy and endurance than on-site camping, but it’s well worth the extra effort. You spend your first and last nights at out main camp. But the rest of the time you are hiking through our mountain wilderness. And you find a special life together: worship and Bible study are woven together with the exhilaration of high country camping. Two trained counselors join your group as guides and program leaders. Christikon provides you with backpacks, tents, cooking gear, and food. You supply your own sleeping bag, hiking boots, rain gear, and clothing.

You’ll start and end your adventure at our main camp, then spend the rest of the time hiking through stunning mountain wilderness with your group.
Out on the trail, you’ll experience something special: faith, community, growth. Worship and Bible study happen alongside epic views, cook-stove meals, and nights under the stars in the high country.
Two trained counselors hike with you as guides and leaders every step of the way. Christikon provides the backpacks, tents, cooking gear, and food. You just bring your sleeping bag, hiking boots, rain gear, clothes—and maybe your favorite snacks! Groups range from six to thirteen participants. Adult advisors are welcome to join, too!

Other Backpack Opportunities!
Dates arranged with Pastor Heather | Typically four nights five days on trail, with a night at each end spent on site. Please see our calendar for possible weeks. We are excited to work with you to develop a plan!
Christikon can host groups in the magnificent mountain wilderness surrounding camp. Groups must have at least six people, and can have no more than thirteen. Two Christikon staff lead each group.
Dates can be arranged within the context of youth camp trails sessions. Youth sessions cover six nights (four in the backcountry, first and last nights at camp). Your group can reduce the number of days in the back country to 2 or 3; but at least 3 is recommended.
You arrive the afternoon of the first day of the session, stay overnight at camp for orientation and packing-out, and head into the wilderness the next morning. You remain in the back country for 2, 3, or 4 nights, and return to Christikon the afternoon of your last day on the trail. Typically, the group leaves Christikon early the next morning after staying overnight at camp, but some adult groups may choose to leave Christikon once they are packed in and cleaned up. Your route can be tailored to your group. You may do a three or four-night backcountry loop, or you may arrange for setting up a two to four-night base camp from which you day-hike (so you carry packs only the first and last days). Our staff people can lead the program; or they can work with you in shared program leadership for Bible study, Quiet Time and worship.
